About me

I am currently in the second year of my Education PhD programme  with the University of Huddersfield.  My research focuses on the impact of mentoring on the development of multiple professional identities, specifically how mentoring impacts on the identity development of newly commissioned officers in the British Army who are also training to become teachers.

I am an officer within the education branch of the Army (AGC(ETS)).  I have previously worked as a mathematics teacher and was a head of mathematics.

When not working or studying I can usually be found running or cycling as a keen ultra marathoner runner and long-distance triathlete. Otherwise I'll be at a Celtic game or with my family.
